Agricultural Equity Managers - Creating Profitable Partnerships

An equity manager is a specialist consultant who works in partnership with other investors and shareholders to achieve financial and productive goals of the business. Common in many industries, equity partnerships and the use of equity managers is increasingly common in the farming and agricultural industries around the world. With the current financial climate and many dairy operations realising the benefits of the economics of scale rule, which provides increasing benefits in terms of productivity and profits, along with reduced expenses per unit of production. However, to achieve this requires a sizable investment; a level which some of the leading independent agricultural business owners cannot obtain. With these farms milking over 500 cows with a monetary value of $4 million and upwards, equity partnerships are proving extremely popular for investors to join together to achieve the economics of scale and levels of profitability only afforded to larger operations; especially with larger operations requiring large tracts of land which are rapidly increasing in value.
